Sophia Jane Danner, 77, of Etters, entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at ProMedica Skilled Nursing Home, Camp Hill. She was the devoted wife of George R. Danner for 35 years.
She was born February 14, 1945, in San Marcos, TX and was the loving daughter of the late John W. and Bessie G. (Cochran) Vencak.
Sophia worked as a Medical Technician for many years.
She enjoyed camping, but her greatest love was her family.
In addition to her parents, Sophia was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Christine Mary; brother, John W. Vencak.
In addition to her husband, Sophia is survived by her children, LeRoy N. Vencak (Patricia), Teresa J. Cooke (Stephen); stepsons, George E Danner, Harry O. Danner, John W. Danner; sister, Doris M. Gordon; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd. Annville, PA 17003.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
