Stephen C. Schaeffer, 74, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 7, 1945 in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Lloyd and Eileen (Stone) Schaeffer.
Stephen was a former member of the Middletown Moose Lodge 410 and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Schaeffer and Eric Schaeffer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Louise (Gingrich) Schaeffer; two daughters, Evelyn Gaumer and Eileen Austin; one brother, Tim Schaeffer; four sisters, Andrea Schweigler, Marilyn Hake, Adel DeArmond and Carol McDonald; two grandchildren, Brandi Gaumer and Collin Rullo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Valley Baptist Church, Middletown with the Rev. Jerry Cowan officiating.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown, to handle the funeral arrangements.
