Obituary for Theodore M Demko

Theodore “Ted” M. Demko, 87, of Lower Swatara Twp., entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 28, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Ted was born on March 29, 1933 in Pottsville, PA and was the son of the late John and Julia (Myrjak) Demko.
Ted was a member of the St. Ann’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Harrisburg where he was very active and involved with the church community.
He was an US Army veteran having proudly served during the Korean War.
Ted was also a 4th degree knight in the Knights of Columbus, a member of the AMVETS of PA, a member of the American Legion Post 594, Middletown and the VFW Post 129, Pottsville, PA.
He was an avid golfer having played for more than 60 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Janie (Achenbach) Demko; Stephanie Brush of Boca Raton, FL and Todd A. Demko and his wife Lisa of Lower Swatara Twp.; three grandchildren, Joshua Demko and his wife Kayla of Hummelstown, Zachary Brush of Rutland, VT and Ben Demko of Lower Swatara Twp.; two great-grandchildren, Paisley Demko and Abigail Rose Demko; a sister, Dolly Duffy.
Services will be held on Saturday January 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at St. Ann’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Harrisburg with Fr. Taras Lavska as celebrant. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of services at the church.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
