Obituary

Willard “Jack” C. Shipley, 89, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 12, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 3, 1931 in Little Orleans, MD and was the son of the late Conda and Dorothy (Elbin) Shipley.
Jack was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Middletown Moose Lodge 410 and was a retired Truck Inspector.
Jack enjoyed playing cards, working in his garden, hunting, and sending out greeting cards to family and friends.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley V. (Jay) Shipley; four sons, Frederic C. Shipley and his wife Deborah of Lewisberry, Donald D. Shipley of Artemas, Steven C. Shipley and his wife Lori of Providence, RI and Barry W. Shipley and his wife Kim of Harrisburg; two sisters, Louise Shantholtz and Violet Yonker; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of Central PA, or the Fairview Cemetery in Artemas PA.
