Obituary for Doris E. Kulp

Doris E. Kulp, 84, of Hummelstown, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
She was born on January 10, 1933, in Middletown and was the daughter of the late Lewis and Anna (Plasterer) Roberts who were among the ones who founded the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Middletown. Beginning at 3 years old, she was taken to every meeting by her parents.
Doris devoted her life to loving and caring for the 7 children the Lord gave to her, David, Dennis, Dain, Diane, Deborah, Dale and Dorothy. They have given her 33 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren to enjoy.
In 1970 she joined The Gideon's International along with her husband. Through the years she held many offices in the local camp and also on the State cabinet.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 66 years, Donald P. Kulp; seven children; David C. Kulp and his wife Lauretta of Bangor ME, Dennis R. Kulp and his wife, Karen of Hummelstown, Dain A. Kulp and his wife Celinda of Elizabethtown PA, Diane M. Bretz and her husband Gregory of Elizabethtown, Deborah E. Miller and her husband Kenneth of Hummelstown, Rev. Dale W. Kulp and his wife Shelly of Easton MD, and Dorothy A. Long and her husband Eugene of Shermans Dale; 33 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Roberts of Wilmington NC; a sister, Eleanor Vanderwell of Hudsonville, MI.
A memorial service for Doris will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 6:30 PM at the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 10 Spruce St., Middletown PA 17057, with the Rev. Dale W. Kulp (her son) officiating. A visitation will take place from 4:30 until the time of services, Wednesday at the church.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., to handle the funeral arrangements.
